Saguaro National Park is located in southern Arizona in the Sonoran Desert just outside of Tucson. There are two different areas of the park, one on the west of Tucson and one one the east Tucson. We visited the east park which has 8 mile paved drive that winds its way through the park with many scenic views of the desert and mountains. There are also many hiking trails that go throughout the park. The Saguaro cactus which is the main attraction in the park can grow up to 50 feet tall and live as long as 200 years. It also takes 75 years before the saguaro grows its first arm.
