Along this stretch of Highway you will find many different parks and amusements. You will find trees that you can drive through, trees with houses made in them, and trees that are ranked as some of the tallest in the world. One of the most popular areas along this stretch is the Avenue of the Giants which is a 31 mile portion of old Hwy. 101. that contains many of the most popular redwoods. The Redwood National park is another popular area that used to contain the tallest tree in the world until 1998 when a storm knocked off the top 10 feet. Probably one of the most scenic areas of Redwoods is along Howland Hill Road in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.
